Akash is former managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office. He has experience in all types of control and non-control private equity transactions, including: mergers and other acquisition and sale transactions; leveraged buy-outs; strategic and platform stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions; recapitalizations; debt-to-equity conversions; private placements of securities; venture capital and growth equity financings; minority equity investments; private investment in public equity (PIPE) transactions; and lender warrants.
Akash advises middle market private equity funds, mezzanine finance funds, venture capital funds and other institutional investors, as well as companies in all stages of development. He handles transactions in a variety of industries including semiconductors, telecommunications, software, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, financial services, healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing and energy. He also routinely counsels clients in corporate governance matters and general commercial agreements.
