Jennifer offers health regulatory advice to a diverse array of clients, including digital health providers and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices, as well as clinical laboratories, pharmacies, health systems, hospitals, provider practice groups, skilled nursing facilities, home care agencies, health insurers, charitable foundations, and companies investing in, or otherwise servicing, the health sector.
Jennifer’s practice focuses on healthcare transactional work and regulatory matters. Her significant healthcare industry knowledge also allows her to counsel efficiently on regulatory aspects of healthcare transactions, including negotiating and preparing transaction documents and conducting healthcare due diligence. Jennifer’s experience encompasses advising clients at every stage of development on day-to-day operational and compliance matters, including federal and state fraud and abuse compliance, state licensure, and corporate practice matters. Jennifer regularly advises on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including drafting and negotiating business associate agreements, implementing HIPAA compliance programs, and responding to security incidents. She also represents underwriters and health industry issuers in preparing public filings for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Jennifer’s prior experience includes acting as in-house counsel to a major New York-based health system.
