Tom Trujillo serves as McGuireWoods’ Chief Innovation and AI Officer. He keeps the law firm at the forefront of innovation in the legal industry by managing the development and deployment of business solutions, including the use of AI-enhanced tools, to better serve clients and improve firm operations.
Trujillo also is the director of MWAccel, a novel client service initiative that helps corporate law departments address complicated legal operations and business issues, while adding value to McGuireWoods’ key client relationships. Launched in 2021, MWAccel leverages the skills and combined knowledge of lawyers, consultants and data scientists/engineers to help clients implement solutions across legal operations areas.
As an adviser and innovator for more than 25 years, Trujillo worked for some of the world’s largest banks and automakers before joining McGuireWoods to launch MWAccel.
Trujillo sits on McGuireWoods’ Technology Committee, which includes lawyers and business professionals who oversee the selection and implementation of cutting-edge business solutions and technology applications.
Trujillo graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with degrees in finance and marketing. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association.
